Description

Macsart AM Tablet is a prescription antihypertensive medicine manufactured by Macleods Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd. It combines two active ingredients — Telmisartan (40mg) and Amlodipine (5mg) — to provide effective management of high blood pressure (hypertension) in patients who require combination therapy.

How it Works:

• Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a chemical in the body that tightens blood vessels and increases blood pressure. By preventing this action, Telmisartan helps blood vessels relax and widen, improving blood flow and reducing the load on the heart.

• Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and improved oxygen supply. This further lowers blood pressure and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.

Precautions & Safety Advice:

Administration:
