Description

Macsart CC Tablet is a triple combination antihypertensive medicine that helps in the effective management of high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains three active ingredients with complementary actions:

• Telmisartan (40mg): An Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels and prevents them from narrowing, thereby lowering blood pressure and protecting organs like the heart, kidneys, and brain.

• Cilnidipine (10mg): A Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) that reduces calcium entry into heart and vascular muscle cells, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and improved blood flow. It also has a protective effect against reflex tachycardia (rapid heartbeat).

• Chlorthalidone (12.5mg): A thiazide-like diuretic that helps the body eliminate excess salt and water through urine, thereby reducing fluid overload and blood pressure.

The combined action of these three medicines provides better control of hypertension compared to single or dual therapy, especially in patients who require multiple medications for effective blood pressure management.
