Description

Uses:

• Used to manage Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus.

• Sitagliptin increases insulin secretion after meals and lowers excess glucagon.

• Extended-release Metformin decreases liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

• Helps prevent diabetes-related complications including heart, kidney, and nerve damage.

Dosage:

• Typically once daily, exactly as the doctor prescribes.

• Take with food to minimize stomach upset.

• Swallow whole—do not crush, chew, or split.

How to Use:

• Take at the same time every day for stable blood sugar control.

• If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. If it’s close to the next dose, skip the missed one.

• Do not take two tablets together to make up for a missed dose.

Precautions:

• Avoid in severe kidney disease, metabolic acidosis, or dehydration.

• Limit alcohol intake—raises risk of lactic acidosis.

• Inform doctor if you have liver disease, heart failure, or vitamin B12 deficiency.

• Not for type-1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, gas.

• Occasional: Headache, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas).

• Serious (rare): Lactic acidosis, pancreatitis (severe abdominal pain), allergic reactions.
