Description

Metosartan CH 25 Tablet ER is a prescription medicine used for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains three active ingredients:

  • Telmisartan (40mg): An angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels for easier blood flow.

  • Metoprolol Succinate (25mg): A beta-blocker that lowers heart rate and reduces strain on the heart.

  • Chlorthalidone (12.5mg): A diuretic (water pill) that helps the body get rid of excess salt and water, lowering blood pressure further.

This triple combination effectively controls blood pressure, reduces workload on the heart, and lowers the risk of complications such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Uses:

  • Treatment of high blood pressure

  • Reduction of cardiovascular risks (heart attack, stroke)

  • Protection of kidney and heart health in hypertensive patients

How to Use:

  • Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily.

  • Swallow whole with water, without crushing or chewing.

  • Can be taken with or without food, but at a fixed time daily.

Dosage:

  • Dosage is individualized by the doctor depending on blood pressure response and patient’s condition.

  • Do not miss doses and do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Precautions:

  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems.

  • Avoid alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness or dizziness.

  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised.

  • Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is important.
