Description

Uses:

• Used to prevent angina (chronic chest pain) caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.

• Sustained-release formulation provides long-lasting symptom control.

• Widens blood vessels, improves oxygen delivery, and reduces heart workload.

• Not suitable for immediate relief of sudden chest pain.

Dosage:

• Typically one tablet daily, as prescribed by the doctor.

• Do not change the dose or stop suddenly.

• The SR form must be taken regularly for best effect.

How to Use:

• Swallow the tablet whole—do not crush, break, or chew.

• Can be taken with or without food.

• If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless near next dose—avoid double dosing.

Precautions:

• Avoid in severe anemia, very low blood pressure, or recent heart attack.

• Do NOT combine with erectile dysfunction medications (sildenafil, tadalafil, etc.)—may cause dangerous drop in BP.

• Avoid alcohol—can worsen dizziness and low BP.

• Use cautiously in liver/kidney disease, glaucoma, hypothyroidism.

Side Effects:

• Very common: Headache (usually reduces with ongoing use).

• Common: Dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, fast heartbeat.

• Sometimes: Flushing, nausea.

• Rare but serious: Fainting, severe hypotension—seek medical help if symptoms are intense.
