Monit 60-SR Tablet

Description

Uses:

• Prevention of angina (chronic chest pain)

• Improves heart blood flow

• Reduces strain on the heart

• Helps patients with coronary artery disease

Dosage:

• Typically one tablet once daily or as directed by the doctor

• Do not increase or skip doses

• Long-acting SR dose should not be taken more than prescribed

How to Use:

• Swallow whole with water

• Do NOT crush or chew (SR – sustained release)

• Take at the same time every day

• Can be taken with or without food

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol (may increase dizziness & drop BP)

• Do not use with erectile dysfunction medicines like sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil

• Inform doctor if you have:

  • Low blood pressure

  • Severe anemia

  • Recent heart attack

  • Head injury

• May cause dizziness—avoid driving until you know how it affects you

• Stand slowly from sitting/lying position

Side Effects:

• Headache (very common)

• Dizziness or light-headedness

• Low blood pressure

• Flushing or warm sensation

• Fast heartbeat

• Nausea

• Weakness or tiredness
