About Nimodip Tablet:
Nimodip Tablet contains Nimodipine, a selective calcium channel blocker that helps relax blood vessels in the brain, improving blood circulation and reducing the risk of brain ischemia. It is mainly used in patients who have suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) to prevent cerebral vasospasm and related neurological complications.

How It Works:

• Nimodipine blocks calcium channels in vascular smooth muscles, leading to relaxation of cerebral blood vessels.

• Improves blood flow to the brain, reduces oxygen deprivation, and prevents secondary brain injury after hemorrhage.

Uses:

• Prevention and management of cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage

• Supports brain circulation in patients at risk of ischemic complications

• Used as part of neuroprotective therapy post-hemorrhage

Directions for Use:

• Take as prescribed by a physician, usually orally every 4 hours for the recommended duration.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably on an empty stomach for better absorption.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Side Effects:

• Headache or dizziness

• Nausea or vomiting

• Flushing or mild hypotension
