Description

Oxra S 10mg/100mg Tablet is a combination of Dapagliflozin (10mg) and Sitagliptin (100mg), used for the effective management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. This dual therapy helps improve blood sugar control when diet, exercise, and single-agent treatment are not sufficient.

  • Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood sugar by removing excess glucose through urine.

  • Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin hormone levels, boosting insulin release and reducing sugar production by the liver.

Together, they work in different ways to help maintain stable blood glucose levels and reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Uses:

  • Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus

  • Helps achieve better glycemic control when monotherapy is inadequate

  • May provide additional heart and kidney protection in diabetic patients

How to Use:
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily. Swallow it whole with water, with or without food. Continue with your recommended diet and exercise plan for maximum benefit.

Dosage:
The dosage is individualized based on blood sugar levels, health condition, and prior response to diabetes medicines. Do not skip or stop without consulting your doctor.

Precautions:

  • Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems.

  • Stay hydrated as dapagliflozin may cause increased urination.

  • May increase risk of urinary tract and genital infections.

  • Use cautiously in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

  • Regularly monitor blood sugar, kidney function, and HbA1c.

Side Effects:

  • Urinary tract infections, genital infections

  • Headache, sore throat, stuffy nose
