Pentids 400 Tablet

Description

Pentids 400 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine containing Penicillin G, a natural penicillin used for the treatment of bacterial infections. It works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall, which weakens and destroys the bacteria. Pentids is prescribed for mild to moderately severe infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Uses / Indications:

• Respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Rheumatic fever (prophylaxis)

• Diphtheria and anthrax (in certain cases)

• Syphilis and other sensitive bacterial infections

• Streptococcal infections

Dosage & Administration:

• Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor.

• Usually taken orally with water, preferably on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals) for best absorption.

• Do not skip doses and complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve, to prevent bacterial resistance.

Possible Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Skin rash, itching, or hives (allergic reactions)

• Stomach upset or abdominal discomfort

• Rare but serious: anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), seizures (in high doses), or Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea

Precautions & Warnings:

• Not suitable for patients allergic to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics.

• Inform your doctor if you have a history of asthma, kidney disease, or gastrointestinal issues.

• Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding should only be under medical advice.

• May interact with other medicines such as methotrexate, oral contraceptives, and probenecid—consult your doctor about all ongoing medications.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
