Pilomax Tablet

Description

Pilomax Tablet contains Pilocarpine (5mg), a medication used to treat dry mouth (xerostomia) and certain eye conditions like glaucoma. Pilocarpine is a cholinergic agonist that stimulates exocrine glands, increasing saliva and sweat production, and helps lower intraocular pressure in glaucoma patients.

Uses:

• Management of dry mouth caused by radiation therapy or Sjögren’s syndrome

• Treatment of glaucoma or elevated intraocular pressure

• Stimulates salivary and sweat glands

How to Use:
Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually 2–4 times daily with or after meals. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Dosage:
Dosage is individualized based on your condition, severity, and response to treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have asthma, heart disease, kidney, or liver problems.

• Use cautiously in elderly patients.

• Avoid operating machinery or driving if you experience dizziness.

• Regular monitoring may be required for eye pressure in glaucoma patients.

Side Effects:

• Sweating, increased salivation, or urinary frequency

• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

• Headache, dizziness

• Rarely, blurred vision or severe allergic reactions
