Description
Polyclav 250mg/125mg Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination containing Amoxycillin (250mg), a penicillin-class antibiotic, and Clavulanic Acid (125mg), a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination enhances the antibacterial spectrum of amoxycillin by preventing enzymatic degradation from beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.
It is used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and ear, nose, and throat infections. Polyclav is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including strains that may be resistant to amoxycillin alone.
