Description

Polyclav BD 228.5mg Dry Syrup is a broad-spectrum antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin (200mg) and Clavulanic Acid (28.5mg). Amoxycillin is a penicillin-class antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents degradation of amoxycillin by resistant bacteria.

This combination is particularly effective for pediatric patients or individuals who have difficulty swallowing tablets, as the dry syrup can be reconstituted with water to provide a palatable oral suspension. It treats a wide range of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including respiratory, urinary, ENT, and skin infections.
