Prolomet T 50 Tablet ER

Description

Prolomet T 50 Tablet ER is a combination medicine containing Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-blocker. It is widely used for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension). By relaxing blood vessels and reducing the workload on the heart, it lowers blood pressure and improves overall heart function. This combination also reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems caused by long-term uncontrolled hypertension.

Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack

• Protects kidney function in hypertensive patients

• Improves heart health in patients with cardiovascular conditions

How to Use:
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily. Swallow it whole with water without crushing or chewing. It can be taken with or without food.

Dosage:
The dose depends on your medical condition and response to therapy. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, asthma, low heart rate, kidney or liver problems.

• Avoid alcohol as it can increase dizziness and lower blood pressure further.

• Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Sudden discontinuation may cause rebound hypertension or worsening of heart conditions.

Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Fatigue or weakness

• Low blood pressure (hypotension)

• Slow heartbeat (bradycardia)

• Rare: swelling of face/lips, chest pain, shortness of breath
