Prolomet XL 12.5 Tablet

Description

Prolomet XL 12.5 Tablet contains Metoprolol Succinate (11.8mg), a beta-blocker medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), and certain heart conditions. It works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels, thereby improving blood circulation and reducing strain on the heart. It also lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart failure complications.

Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Relief and prevention of chest pain (angina)

• Improves survival after a heart attack

• Management of heart failure

• Helps control irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias)

How to Use:
Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily. Swallow it whole with water, without crushing or chewing. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time every day.

Dosage:
Follow your doctor’s instructions. Do not skip doses or stop the medicine suddenly, as it may worsen heart problems.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have asthma, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, thyroid disorder, diabetes, or liver problems.

• Avoid alcohol as it may increase dizziness or drowsiness.

• Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.

• Do not stop suddenly; tapering should be under medical supervision.
