Rifagut 550 Tablet contains Rifaximin (550mg), a broad-spectrum antibiotic used primarily to treat gastrointestinal infections and to prevent complications in patients with liver disease. It works by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria in the gut while preserving normal intestinal flora, helping to relieve symptoms like diarrhea and prevent hepatic encephalopathy.

Prevention and treatment of hepatic encephalopathy in liver disease patients

Management of traveler’s diarrhea caused by E. coli

Treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D)

Helps reduce abdominal discomfort, bloating, and diarrhea
How to Use:
Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily depending on the condition. Swallow whole with water, with or without food.
Dosage:

Typical dosage for hepatic encephalopathy: 550mg twice daily

For traveler’s diarrhea: 550mg three times daily for 3 days
