Description
Uses:
S-Amlosafe AT 2.5/50 Tablet is used for treating high blood pressure (hypertension) and chest pain (angina). The combination of two medicines provides better blood pressure control than either medicine alone:
-
Amlodipine (2.5mg): A calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow and lowering blood pressure.
-
Atenolol (50mg): A beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and workload on the heart, further helping to lower blood pressure and prevent angina.
Dosage:
-
Take 1 tablet daily, or as prescribed by your doctor.
-
Can be taken with or without food.
-
Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
-
Dosage may be adjusted depending on blood pressure readings and patient response.

Avoid use in patients with very low blood pressure, slow heart rate, severe heart failure, or liver/kidney problems without medical supervision.
-
Inform your doctor about other medications being taken.
