Seroflo 100 Rotacaps is a combination medicine used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Salmeterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, and Fluticasone Propionate, a corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation. Together, they help prevent wheezing, breathlessness, and chest tightness, improving overall lung function.
Uses:
Used for maintenance treatment and prevention of asthma and COPD symptoms. It helps reduce inflammation, prevent bronchospasm, and keep airways open for easier breathing.
How to Use:
Use the Rotacaps only with a Rotahaler device. Do not swallow the capsule. Insert one capsule into the Rotahaler and inhale deeply through your mouth. Hold your breath for a few seconds and then exhale slowly. Rinse your mouth after inhalation to prevent throat irritation or fungal infection.
Dosage:
The dosage depends on your age, medical condition, and response to treatment. Usually, one Rotacap is inhaled twice daily or as prescribed by the doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose or stop using it abruptly without consulting your physician.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, heart problems, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, diabetes, or liver disease. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This medicine is not suitable for relieving sudden asthma attacks — keep a quick-relief inhaler for emergencies.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include throat irritation, hoarseness, cough, headache, nausea, and oral fungal infection (thrush). Rinse your mouth after every use to minimize side effects. Seek medical help if you experience chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or worsening breathing problems.
