Description
Seroflo 125 Inhaler is a combination medicine used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Salmeterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the airway muscles, and Fluticasone Propionate, a corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation and prevents breathing difficulties. Together, they help control symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
Uses:
Used for the prevention and maintenance treatment of asthma and COPD. It helps improve airflow, reduces the frequency of asthma attacks, and provides long-term control of chronic respiratory conditions.
How to Use:
Use the inhaler as directed by your doctor. Shake well before each use. Breathe out completely, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and press the inhaler once while breathing in deeply. Hold your breath for a few seconds before exhaling slowly. Rinse your mouth with water after every use to prevent infections or irritation.
Dosage:
The dosage depends on the patient’s medical condition and response to treatment. Usually, one or two puffs are recommended twice daily, or as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop the medication suddenly or exceed the recommended dose.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, heart problems, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, diabetes, or liver disease. Use with caution in pregnancy or breastfeeding. This inhaler is not suitable for relieving sudden asthma attacks — a quick-relief (rescue) inhaler should be used in such cases.
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include throat irritation, hoarseness, headache, cough, nausea, or fungal infection in the mouth (oral thrush). Rinsing your mouth after inhalation helps reduce these effects. Seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or worsening breathing difficulty.
