Description
Seroflo 250 Inhaler is a combination inhalation medicine used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Salmeterol, a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, and Fluticasone Propionate, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways. Together, they help prevent breathing difficulties, wheezing, and chest tightness, improving overall lung function and quality of life.
Uses:
Used in the long-term management of asthma and COPD. It helps control and prevent symptoms like shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness by keeping the airways open and reducing inflammation.
How to Use:
Use the inhaler exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Shake well before each use. Breathe out completely, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and press the inhaler once while inhaling deeply. Hold your breath for a few seconds, then exhale slowly. Rinse your mouth thoroughly after use to avoid throat irritation or fungal infection.
Dosage:
Dosage depends on the severity of the condition and the patient’s response to treatment. Typically, one or two puffs are taken twice daily, as advised by the physician. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, or liver disorders. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This inhaler is not intended for sudden asthma attacks — always keep a rescue inhaler for emergencies.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include throat irritation, hoarseness, cough, headache, nausea, or oral fungal infection (thrush). Rinsing your mouth after every use helps prevent these effects. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or worsening breathing difficulty.
