Description

Sitaxa M XR 100+1000 Tablet is an extended-release combination anti-diabetic medicine containing Sitagliptin and Metformin. Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances incretin hormone activity, stimulating insulin secretion after meals and reducing glucose production. Metformin, a biguanide, decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
The extended-release (ER) formulation ensures gradual release of metformin, reducing gastrointestinal side effects and providing sustained blood sugar control throughout the day. It is indicated for adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet, exercise, or monotherapy is insufficient.
