Description

SiTaxa M XR 100+500 Tablet is an extended-release combination anti-diabetic medication containing Sitagliptin and Metformin. Sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, enhances incretin hormone activity, increasing insulin secretion after meals and reducing glucose production. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
The extended-release (ER) formulation allows gradual release of metformin, improving blood sugar control and minimizing gastrointestinal side effects. It is prescribed for adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet, exercise, or monotherapy alone is insufficient.
