Dosage & How to Use

• Take 1 tablet once daily

• Can be taken with or without food

• Take at the same time every day

• Do not stop suddenly

• If missed dose → take soon unless near next dose

How It Works

Telmisartan (40mg):

• Blocks angiotensin-II

• Relaxes & widens blood vessels

• Reduces BP gradually

Amlodipine (5mg):

• Relaxes smooth muscles of arteries

• Prevents vessel tightening

• Improves blood flow & reduces heart workload

Precautions

• Avoid in pregnancy

• Caution in liver, kidney, or heart patients

• Amlodipine may cause ankle swelling

• Avoid alcohol (increases dizziness)

• Monitor BP regularly

Side Effects

Common:

• Ankle swelling (edema)

• Dizziness/lightheadedness

• Flushing

• Fatigue

• Headache

Rare:

• Low BP

• Slow/fast heartbeat

• Gum swelling
