Uses of Telmikind-H Tablet

• Treats mild to moderate hypertension

• Prevents stroke, heart attack, and heart failure

• Reduces water retention (edema)

• Helps protect kidneys, especially in diabetic/hypertensive patients

• Controls BP when single medicine is not enough

Dosage & How to Use

• Usual dose: 1 tablet once daily

• Best taken in the morning (due to diuretic effect)

• Take with or without food

• Do not skip doses or stop suddenly

• Drink enough water unless advised otherwise

How Telmikind-H Works

Telmisartan (40mg):

• Blocks angiotensin-II

• Causes blood vessel relaxation

• Lowers blood pressure & reduces strain on the heart

Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg):

• Removes excess salt and water from the body

• Decreases blood volume → reduces BP

• Reduces swelling/edema

Precautions

• Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding

• Inform doctor if you have:

  • Kidney/liver problems

  • Electrolyte imbalance (low sodium/potassium)

  • Gout or diabetes

  • Severe dehydration

• Avoid alcohol (may cause more dizziness)

• Avoid potassium supplements unless advised

• Regular monitoring of BP, kidneys, sodium & potassium is recommended

Side Effects

Common:

• Dizziness/lightheadedness

• Frequent urination

• Low blood pressure

• Dry mouth

• Tiredness

Less common:

• Electrolyte imbalance (Low Na/K)

• Muscle cramps

• Kidney function changes

Seek urgent care if you notice swelling of face, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
