Treats mild to moderate hypertension

Prevents stroke, heart attack, and heart failure

Reduces water retention (edema)

Helps protect kidneys, especially in diabetic/hypertensive patients

Controls BP when single medicine is not enough
Dosage & How to Use
-
Usual dose: 1 tablet once daily
-
Best taken in the morning (due to diuretic effect)
-
Take with or without food
-
Do not skip doses or stop suddenly
-
Drink enough water unless advised otherwise
How Telmikind-H Works
Telmisartan (40mg):
-
Blocks angiotensin-II
-
Causes blood vessel relaxation
-
Lowers blood pressure & reduces strain on the heart
Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg):
-
Removes excess salt and water from the body
-
Decreases blood volume → reduces BP
-
Reduces swelling/edema
Precautions
-
Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Inform doctor if you have:
-
Kidney/liver problems
-
Electrolyte imbalance (low sodium/potassium)
-
Gout or diabetes
-
Severe dehydration
-
-
Avoid alcohol (may cause more dizziness)
-
Avoid potassium supplements unless advised
-
Regular monitoring of BP, kidneys, sodium & potassium is recommended
Side Effects
Common:

Dizziness/lightheadedness

Frequent urination

Low blood pressure

Dry mouth

Tiredness
Less common:

Electrolyte imbalance (Low Na/K)

Muscle cramps

Kidney function changes
Seek urgent care if you notice swelling of face, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
