Main use: Controls high blood pressure (hypertension)

Chlorthalidone: diuretic that removes excess salt & water
Dosage

Usually 1 tablet once daily, as prescribed

Take at the same time each day

Do not stop medicine without doctor approval

Swallow with water

Can be taken with or without food

Continue even if you feel fine

Monitor BP regularly
Precautions

Avoid in pregnancy

Use with caution in kidney disease, liver disease, dehydration

Inform doctor if taking: other BP medicines, diuretics, NSAIDs (ibuprofen), lithium

May increase urination due to chlorthalidone

Cilnidipine may cause mild swelling in legs
