Description

Thyronorm 100mcg Tablet contains Thyroxine (Levothyroxine Sodium), a synthetic thyroid hormone used to treat hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). It restores thyroid hormone balance in the body, helping to regulate metabolism, energy levels, growth, and overall hormonal function.

Composition:

• Thyroxine (100mcg) – a synthetic form of the natural thyroid hormone.

Indications / Uses:
Thyronorm 100mcg is prescribed for:

• Hypothyroidism (all types, including congenital, primary, secondary, and tertiary)

• Goiter (enlarged thyroid gland)

• Post-thyroid surgery or radioiodine therapy to maintain hormone balance

• Thyroid cancer suppression therapy

• Supporting normal growth and development in children with thyroid hormone deficiency

How It Works:
Thyroxine works by supplementing or replacing the natural hormone produced by the thyroid gland. It regulates metabolism, protein synthesis, brain function, and body temperature, restoring normal physiological balance.

Dosage & Administration:

• Taken once daily, on an empty stomach in the morning, at least 30–60 minutes before food or drink (except water).

• Swallow whole with water. Avoid tea, coffee, or milk immediately after intake.

• Dose is tailored individually based on thyroid hormone levels (TSH, T3, T4) and patient response.

• Consistency in timing and intake is essential for effectiveness.

Side Effects:
When dosage is too high or not adjusted properly, side effects may include:

• Palpitations, irregular heartbeat

• Nervousness, anxiety, or restlessness
