Description

Thyronorm 112mcg Tablet contains Thyroxine (Levothyroxine Sodium), a synthetic thyroid hormone. It is prescribed for the treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland), where the body fails to produce adequate thyroid hormones. By restoring hormone levels, it helps regulate metabolism, energy production, growth, and overall body functions.

Composition:

• Thyroxine (112mcg) – synthetic form of the natural thyroid hormone T4.

Indications / Uses:
Thyronorm 112mcg is prescribed for:

• Hypothyroidism (all forms, including congenital and acquired)

• Goiter (enlarged thyroid gland)

• Post-thyroid surgery or radioiodine therapy to maintain hormonal balance

• Thyroid cancer suppression therapy

• Supporting normal growth and brain development in children with thyroid deficiency

How It Works:
Thyroxine (Levothyroxine) works by supplementing the body with thyroid hormone. It regulates metabolism, energy balance, protein synthesis, brain activity, and temperature control, ensuring normal body function.

Dosage & Administration:

• Should be taken once daily on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning, at least 30–60 minutes before breakfast.

• Swallow whole with water; avoid tea, coffee, or milk immediately after.

• Dose is individualized based on TSH and thyroid hormone levels.

• Consistent daily intake is vital for effectiveness.
