Description

Thyronorm 50mcg Tablet contains Thyroxine (Levothyroxine Sodium), a synthetic thyroid hormone prescribed for the treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). The 50mcg strength is a commonly used low-to-medium dose, suitable for patients starting thyroid replacement therapy, those requiring dose adjustments, or for long-term maintenance therapy after stabilization.

Indications / Uses:
Thyronorm 50mcg is prescribed for:

• Hypothyroidism (primary, secondary, or congenital)

• Goiter (enlargement of the thyroid gland)

• Post-thyroidectomy or post-radioiodine therapy for hormone replacement

• Thyroid cancer suppression therapy (as part of long-term care)

• Maintenance therapy in patients requiring stable thyroid hormone levels

How It Works:
Thyroxine is a synthetic form of the natural thyroid hormone T4. It regulates:

• Metabolism and energy production

• Heart rate and body temperature

• Growth and nervous system development

• Protein, carbohydrate, and fat metabolism

By supplementing hormone deficiency, Thyronorm 50mcg restores normal metabolic balance and prevents symptoms of hypothyroidism such as fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, and slowed mental or physical activity.

Dosage & Administration:

• Taken once daily, on an empty stomach, at least 30–60 minutes before breakfast.

• Swallow whole with water; avoid tea, coffee, or milk immediately afterward.
