Description

Dapavel-S 10/100 Tablet is a dual-combination anti-diabetic medicine designed for adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It combines Dapagliflozin (10mg), an SGLT2 inhibitor, and Sitagliptin (100mg), a DPP-4 inhibitor, to provide effective and comprehensive blood sugar control.

  • Dapagliflozin lowers blood glucose by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, leading to its excretion in urine.

  • Sitagliptin enhances the action of incretin hormones, increasing insulin release after meals and reducing excessive glucose production by the liver.

This combination effectively controls fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels, supports weight management, and may reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications associated with diabetes. It is used along with a healthy diet and regular exercise and may be prescribed alone or with other anti-diabetic medications.

Uses:

  • Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

  • Helps maintain steady blood glucose levels

  • Reduces the risk of heart failure and cardiovascular complications

  • Supports weight reduction

  • Improves insulin secretion and glucose metabolism

Dosage:

  • Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily, with or without food.

  • Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break.

  • If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose.

  • Your doctor may adjust the dose based on blood sugar levels and individual response.

How to Use:

Take Dapavel-S 10/100 Tablet at the same time each day for consistent blood sugar control. Follow a diabetic-friendly diet, maintain regular physical activity, and monitor blood glucose levels regularly. Continue treatment even if your blood sugar appears normal, unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
