Description

Dapavel GM 10/2/500 Tablet ER is a triple-combination anti-diabetic medicine used for managing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It contains Dapagliflozin (10mg), Glimepiride (2mg), and Metformin (500mg) in an extended-release formulation, allowing for once-daily dosing and more stable blood sugar control.

  • Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, lowers blood sugar by blocking glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, promoting glucose excretion through urine.

  • Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea, stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, aiding in lowering blood sugar levels.

  • Metformin, a biguanide, decreases hepatic glucose production and enhances insulin sensitivity.

This combination is effective in controlling fasting and postprandial glucose levels, improving glycemic control, and reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications, including cardiovascular issues.

Uses:

  • Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

  • Helps maintain steady blood glucose levels

  • Reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients

  • Supports weight management

  • Improves insulin sensitivity and glucose utilization

Dosage:

  • Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily with meals.

  • Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew, or split.

  • If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible unless it is near the next scheduled dose. Do not double doses.

  • Dose adjustments may be required based on blood sugar levels and individual response.

How to Use:

Take Dapavel GM 10/2/500 Tablet ER at the same time each day for consistent blood sugar control. Combine with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and routine blood glucose monitoring. Continue therapy even if blood sugar appears normal unless advised otherwise by your healthcare provider.
