Main use: Treats high blood pressure (hypertension)

Helps protect the heart, reduces risk of heart attack & stroke

Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels

Metoprolol (beta-blocker) lowers heart rate & reduces heart workload
Dosage
-
Usually one tablet once daily, or as prescribed
-
ER (extended release) → Swallow whole, do not crush or chew
-
Take at the same time every day
How to Use

Can be taken with or without food
-
Continue medicine even if BP becomes normal
-
Monitor BP and heart rate regularly
Precautions
-
Avoid in pregnancy
-
Use with caution in asthma, COPD, diabetes, thyroid issues, kidney or liver problems
-
Do not stop suddenly → may increase heart rate/BP
-
Tell doctor if taking: other BP drugs, antidepressants, asthma medicines, NSAIDs (ibuprofen), digoxin
Side Effects
Common:

Slow heart rate

Dizziness or light-headedness

Fatigue
-
Cold hands/feet

Low blood pressure
Less common:
-
Shortness of breath
-
Swelling
-
Sleep disturbance
-
Depression (rare)
Seek medical attention if you feel severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, or fainting.
