Description
Uses
Reeshape Capsule contains Orlistat 120 mg and is used along with a reduced-calorie diet and regular physical activity to help manage obesity and excess body weight.
Benefits
Helps reduce the absorption of dietary fat from the digestive tract
Supports weight management when used with a suitable diet and exercise plan
May help reduce excess body weight as part of a supervised weight-management programme
How It Works
Orlistat works locally in the digestive tract by blocking enzymes called lipases that break down dietary fat. This reduces the amount of fat absorbed by the body, with the unabsorbed fat passing out through the stool.
How to Use
Take Reeshape Capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is generally taken with a meal containing fat or within a specified period after the meal. If a meal is missed or contains no fat, the dose may not be required. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
Dosage
The usual adult dose of Orlistat is 120 mg with each main meal containing fat, or as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose.
Precautions
Use only under medical supervision.
Tell your doctor if you have digestive problems, gallbladder problems, kidney problems or other medical conditions.
Orlistat can affect the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, so your doctor may recommend a multivitamin supplement.
Follow a balanced, reduced-calorie diet while using this medicine.
Inform your doctor about all other medicines and supplements you are taking.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include oily or fatty stools, increased bowel movements, gas with discharge, abdominal discomfort and loose stools. These effects may be more noticeable after eating meals high in fat.
Important Information
Reeshape Capsule should be used together with an appropriate diet and physical activity as advised by a healthcare professional. It is not a substitute for healthy eating and regular exercise.
