Description
Omecip 20 Capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce excessive stomach acid. It helps in relieving heartburn, acid reflux, and stomach ulcers by blocking the action of proton pumps in the stomach lining, thereby reducing acid secretion.

How It Works
Omeprazole, the active ingredient, inhibits the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme in stomach lining cells, preventing acid formation and allowing healing of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.

Precautions & Warnings

Avoid use if allergic to omeprazole or similar medicines.

Long-term use may cause vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, or risk of bone fractures.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only under medical advice.
Dosage & Administration

Usually taken once daily on an empty stomach, at least 30–60 minutes before a meal.

Swallow capsule whole—do not crush or chew.

If a dose is missed, skip it if it’s almost time for the next one.
