CLOPINOX-A 75

Description

CLOPINOX-A 75 Tablet is a fixed-dose combination of two antiplatelet agents used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other vascular events in high-risk individuals, especially after stenting or with established vascular disease.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual adult dose: 1 tablet (clopidogrel 75 mg + aspirin 75 mg) once daily, taken at the same time each day with food to minimize stomach upset and reduce gastrointestinal side effects.

• Administration tips: Swallow whole with water; do not split, chew, or crush.

• Should be taken regularly without missing doses; do not stop abruptly or without doctor’s advice, as this can increase thrombotic (clotting) risk.

Uses / Indications

• Prevents heart attack, stroke, or other clot-related events in patients with:

  • Recent heart attack or stroke

  • Coronary artery stenting or bypass surgery

  • Peripheral arterial disease

  • High-risk stable or unstable angina or acute coronary syndrome.

• Common as “dual antiplatelet therapy” for certain heart conditions and post-stent management.

Safety & Side Effects

• Common: Heartburn, mild stomach upset, diarrhea, easy bruising, nosebleeds, increased risk of bleeding.

• Serious/rare: Black stools, blood in urine/vomit, prolonged bleeding, severe stomach pain, allergic reactions—seek medical attention if these occur.

• Not advised in severe liver/kidney impairment, active bleeding, or peptic ulcer disease.

• May interact with other blood thinners, NSAIDs, PPIs, and some antidepressants—inform your doctor of all medications.

Special Precautions

• Use caution with sharp objects and avoid activities with high trauma risk.

• Inform all healthcare providers, including dentists, about the medication before procedures; temporary discontinuation may be required for surgery or dental work.

• Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.

Note:
CLOPINOX-A 75 is for long-term vascular prevention only under prescription. Regular follow-up and monitoring for bleeding or other side effects are important.
