Description
Brufen 400 Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing Ibuprofen 400mg. It is stronger than Brufen 200 and is prescribed for moderate to severe pain, fever, and inflammation. It is commonly used in conditions like arthritis, back pain, muscle sprains, dental pain, headache, and menstrual cramps.
By reducing pain, swelling, and fever, Brufen 400 helps improve comfort and mobility in patients with painful musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions.
Uses
-
Relief of moderate pain (toothache, backache, headache, muscle pain, post-surgery pain)
-
Management of fever
-
Reduction of inflammation in arthritis, sprains, and soft tissue injuries
-
Relief from menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)
-
Supportive treatment in musculoskeletal disorders
How it Works
Ibuprofen blocks the action of cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins—chemicals that cause pain, swelling, and fever. This leads to effective pain relief and reduced inflammation.
