Description

ESOMIFYL contains Esomeprazole 40 mg in enteric-coated tablets, supplied in alu-alu packaging. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the treatment and prevention of acid-related disorders in the stomach and intestines.

How ESOMIFYL Works

Esomeprazole blocks the gastric proton pump enzyme, reducing the production of stomach acid at its source. This provides healing of acid-injured tissue and relief from acid-related symptoms.

Treatment of acidity (heartburn, acid reflux)
Management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Healing and prevention of peptic ulcers
Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (excess stomach acid)

Directions for Use and Precautions

Usually taken once daily, on an empty stomach, ideally in the morning or at least 1 hour before a meal.
Continue therapy as advised, even if symptoms improve quickly; do not stop abruptly
Inform the doctor of any kidney/liver problems, osteoporosis, ongoing medications, or pregnancy/breastfeeding
Monitor magnesium, B12, and bone health if prolonged use.
