Description

Damita M 5/1000 Tablet ER is a fixed-dose combination of Dapagliflozin (an SGLT2 inhibitor) and Metformin (a biguanide). It is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and monotherapy are not enough. Dapagliflozin lowers blood glucose by helping the kidneys eliminate excess sugar through urine, while Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. The extended-release (ER) formulation helps in once-daily dosing with better gastrointestinal tolerance.

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs)

Precautions:
