Description
NEDOLIDE-P is a bilayered prescription tablet containing Nimesulide 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg, supplied in blister packaging. It is intended for short-term relief of mild to moderate pain, inflammation, and fever, especially when both pain and fever are present due to musculoskeletal injuries, dental procedures, or infections.
How it Works
-
Nimesulide is a selective NSAID that blocks the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation.
-
Paracetamol acts centrally to reduce fever and alleviate pain, but with minimal anti-inflammatory effect.
-
Together, the combination provides potent analgesic and antipyretic action for rapid symptom relief.
Main Uses
-
Relief from pain and fever caused by musculoskeletal conditions, arthritis, toothaches, headaches, minor trauma, post-operative pain, and menstrual cramps.
-
Effective for acute painful conditions in adults requiring dual-action anti-inflammatory and fever control.
Key Benefits
-
Provides faster and broader pain and fever relief than single-agent therapy.
-
Generally well tolerated with low rates of GI and hepatic side effects in Indian studies when used short-term under medical supervision.
-
Bilayered tablet enables rapid onset of action and convenient dosing.
Dosage & Administration
