Description

Alcinac-MR Tablet is a combination medication used to relieve pain, muscle spasm, and inflammation, especially in acute musculoskeletal conditions.

How it Works / Key Benefits:

• Aceclofenac: A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that blocks cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and offering pain relief and anti-inflammatory benefits.

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): Provides centrally-acting additional pain relief and antipyretic effect with little gastric irritation.

• Chlorzoxazone: A centrally acting muscle relaxant. It acts mainly at the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain by inhibiting nerve reflexes responsible for muscle spasm, helping to relieve skeletal muscle tension and associated pain.

Uses:

• Acute low back pain, cervical pain, sprains, strains, musculoskeletal injuries

• Pain and spasm in osteoarthritis, spondylosis, or after minor trauma

• Relief of muscle spasm and stiffness with pain/swelling in acute and subacute musculoskeletal conditions

Dosage & Administration:

• Usual adult dose: One tablet 1–2 times daily, after food (as directed by physician)

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew

• Use only short-term as prescribed, not for chronic use unless specifically directed

Safety & Precautions:

• Contraindicated in allergy to any ingredients, active peptic ulcer/bleeding, severe liver/kidney/heart dysfunction, pregnancy (especially 3rd trimester)

• Common side effects: drowsiness, dizziness, stomach upset, nausea, rarely hepatitis, allergic reactions, GI ulcer/bleed

• Avoid alcohol, operating heavy machinery, or driving if drowsy

• Use caution in elderly, those with liver impairment, or those taking multiple medications

• Not recommended in children (unless advised by doctor)
