Ambrodil Tablet

Description

Ambrodil Tablet contains Ambroxol, a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening mucus in the respiratory tract. This helps in clearing phlegm from the lungs, making breathing easier. It is commonly prescribed for adults and older children suffering from productive (wet) cough due to respiratory tract infections and chronic lung diseases.

Uses

• Relief from cough with mucus (productive cough)

• Treatment of acute and chronic bronchitis

• Management of asthma with mucus congestion

• Supportive therapy in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

• Helps clear mucus in respiratory tract infections

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea or vomiting

• Stomach discomfort

• Diarrhea

• Dry mouth or throat irritation

• Headache or dizziness

Serious but rare side effects:

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, itching)

• Difficulty breathing

• Severe skin reactions (very rare but possible)

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney problems

• Not recommended for patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to Ambroxol
