Ambrodil-XP Syrup

Description

Ambrodil-XP Syrup contains Acebrophylline, a bronchodilator and mucolytic agent. It works in two ways:

• Bronchodilator effect – relaxes airway muscles, widens air passages, and improves airflow.

• Mucolytic effect – thins and loosens mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough out.

This dual action helps relieve cough, chest tightness, and breathing difficulties in respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Uses

• Relief from productive cough with mucus

• Treatment of chronic bronchitis

• Management of asthma with mucus congestion

• Supportive therapy in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea, vomiting, or stomach discomfort

Serious but rare side effects:

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, itching, difficulty breathing)

Precautions

• Use cautiously in patients with liver, kidney, or heart disease
