Atchol 20 Tablet

Description

Atchol 20 Tablet contains Atorvastatin, a statin medication that helps lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. By inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, it reduces cholesterol production in the liver. This helps prevent atherosclerosis, heart attacks, and strokes, especially in high-risk patients.

Uses

• Lowers LDL (bad cholesterol)

• Increases HDL (good cholesterol)

• Reduces triglycerides

• Prevents cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and angina

• Used in familial hypercholesterolemia or patients at high cardiovascular risk

Side Effects

Common side effects:

• Muscle pain or weakness

• Mild liver enzyme elevation

Serious but rare side effects:

• Severe muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis)
