Cefrine Oral Suspension

Description

Cefrine Oral Suspension contains Cefdinir, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the death of susceptible bacteria. This suspension is particularly suitable for children and patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Uses / Indications:

• Respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Ear infections (acute otitis media)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Certain bacterial infections resistant to first-line antibiotics

How to Use:

Possible Side Effects:

• Common: diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, rash

• Less common: headache, dizziness, vomiting

• Rare but serious: allergic reaction (swelling, difficulty breathing), severe diarrhea due to Clostridium difficile infection

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

• Once reconstituted, keep in a refrigerator if advised and use within the prescribed period (usually 7–10 days).

• Keep tightly closed and out of children’s reach.
