Description

CIPMOL-250 contains paracetamol, a well-tolerated and widely used medication for the relief of pain and fever, especially in children.

Uses / Indications

  • Relief of mild to moderate fever (any cause, including post-vaccination, infections).

  • Treatment of mild to moderate pain: headache, teething, toothache, sore throat, muscle aches, joint pains, backache, colds, flu, and period pain.

  • Adjunct for fever/pain following immunisation in small children.

  • Sometimes used for neuralgia and aches related to growth or minor injuries.

How it Works / Key Benefits

  • Reduces fever by acting centrally on the hypothalamus (thermoregulatory center) and relieves pain by blocking prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system.

  • Considered the safest option among painkillers for children, suitable for those with mild kidney issues (caution in liver disease).

Dosage & Administration

  • Children: Dose depends on age/weight (typically 10–15 mg/kg per dose), every 4–6 hours, not exceeding 4 doses in 24 hours.

  • Usually given as an oral suspension or dispersible tablet; best given with food or milk to prevent tummy upset.

  • Do not use other paracetamol-containing medicines simultaneously.

Safety & Side Effects

  • Common: Indigestion, nausea, vomiting, mild headache, rash, constipation, insomnia (rare in children).

  • Generally very well tolerated and low risk for allergies; avoid if severe liver disease or active liver disease present.

  • Severe overdose can cause liver damage—keep out of reach of children and check dosing carefully.

  • Maximum use: 3 days unless directed by a doctor; prolonged use requires medical supervision.

Note:
CIPMOL-250 is safe and effective for short-term fever or mild pain in children and adults when used at correct dose and duration under proper guidance. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare provider.
