CLOPINOX-75

Description

CLOPINOX-75 Tablet contains clopidogrel, an antiplatelet agent prescribed to prevent blood clots, heart attacks, and strokes in high-risk individuals.

Dosage & Administration

• Standard adult dose: 75 mg once daily, taken at the same time each day, with or without food.

• Acute coronary syndrome: May start with a single loading dose of 300 mg, followed by a maintenance dose of 75 mg daily (duration depends on clinical indication).

• Other uses: For patients with recent myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, or established peripheral arterial disease, the usual dose is 75 mg daily without a loading dose.

• Administration tips: Swallow whole with water. Do not split, crush, or chew.

• May be prescribed together with aspirin as dual antiplatelet therapy for certain cardiac indications.

Safety & Precautions

• Missed dose: Take as soon as remembered if within 12 hours, otherwise skip and take the next scheduled dose. Never double up.

• Duration: Can range from a few weeks to lifelong use, depending on medical history; never stop abruptly without consulting a doctor, as doing so may increase the risk of serious events like stroke or heart attack.

• Caution: Not suitable for children or in those with bleeding disorders; caution in liver or kidney disease, or in poor CYP2C19 metabolizers (reduced effect possible).
