Description
DAILYGLIM M2 FORTE Tablet is a potent combination oral antidiabetic for adults with type 2 diabetes who require enhanced blood sugar control when single or lower-dose therapies are inadequate.
Uses / Indications
-
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: For persistent high blood sugar in adults, when diet, exercise, and mono or lower-strength diabetes therapies don’t provide adequate control.
-
Reduces risk of long-term complications: Helps prevent eye, kidney, nerve, heart, and vascular damage related to uncontrolled diabetes.
How it Works / Key Benefits
-
Glimepiride: Stimulates pancreatic beta cells to increase insulin release and improves insulin sensitivity, effectively lowering blood sugar after meals.
-
Metformin (PR): Inhibits hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and boosts peripheral tissue sensitivity to insulin—with prolonged action for steady control and improved tolerability.
-
Dual approach offers superior glycemic control and helps keep HbA1c (long-term blood sugar marker) in target range.
Dosage & Administration

Usually one bilayered tablet daily, taken orally with the first major meal (preferably breakfast) or as directed by your physician.
-
Swallow whole with water; do not break, crush, or chew.

Safety & Side Effects
-
Common: Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar: hunger, sweating, trembling, confusion), nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, taste changes, headache, mild weight gain.
-
Rare/Serious: Lactic acidosis (rapid breathing, vomiting), allergic reactions, anemia, liver or kidney issues.
