Description

EVOXIL-CV KID contains Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid as a dispersible tablet, supplied in strips. This pediatric combination antibiotic is used to treat a wide range of moderate to severe bacterial infections resistant to standard antibiotics.

How EVOXIL-CV KID Works

  • Amoxycillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin, kills bacteria by inhibiting their cell wall synthesis.

  • Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor, protecting Amoxycillin from destruction by resistant bacteria and enhancing its activity against beta-lactamase–producing organisms.

Uses of EVOXIL-CV KID

  • Ear, nose, and throat infections (sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media)

  • Lower and upper respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)

  • Skin, tooth, and soft tissue infections

  • Urinary tract infections

  • Bone, joint and abdominal infections

  • Drug-resistant tuberculosis as part of combination therapy.

Benefits

  • Effective against resistant bacteria and severe infections

  • Rapid improvement in symptoms with correct dosing

  • Dispersible formulation easy to administer in children.

Common Side Effects

  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, mild rash, oral thrush.

  • Rare: allergic reactions, severe diarrhea (Clostridium difficile), liver enzyme elevation

Directions for Use and Precautions

  • Disperse tablet in water and administer with food for optimal absorption and reduced stomach upset.

  • Complete full treatment course, even if symptoms resolve early, to prevent resistance

  • Dose adjustments may be necessary in kidney or liver disorders; follow doctor’s prescription
