Description
Febutec 40 Tablet is a medicine manufactured by Cipla Ltd, containing Febuxostat (40mg) as its active ingredient. It is primarily prescribed for the management of gout and conditions associated with elevated uric acid levels (hyperuricemia).
How it Works:
Febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. It works by selectively blocking the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which is responsible for the production of uric acid in the body. By lowering uric acid levels, Febutec 40 helps to prevent the formation of urate crystals in the joints, tissues, and kidneys. This action reduces the risk of gout attacks, joint pain, swelling, and kidney stone formation.
