Description

Ibugesic ASP Tablet is a combination medication that effectively addresses pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with various musculoskeletal conditions. It combines three active ingredients, each contributing to its therapeutic effects:

  • Aceclofenac (100 mg): A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and alleviates pain by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which are involved in the production of prostaglandins—chemicals responsible for inflammation and pain.

  • Paracetamol (325 mg): Also known as acetaminophen, it acts as an analgesic and antipyretic. It helps in reducing pain and lowering fever by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain.

  • Serratiopeptidase (15 mg): An enzyme that possesses anti-inflammatory and fibrinolytic properties. It aids in reducing swelling and promoting the healing of tissues by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation.

Indications:

Ibugesic ASP Tablet is commonly prescribed for:

  • Osteoarthritis: A degenerative joint disease causing pain and stiffness.

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis: An autoimmune disorder leading to chronic inflammation of joints.

  • Ankylosing Spondylitis: A type of arthritis affecting the spine and large joints.

  • Musculoskeletal Pain: Including back pain, muscle strains, and ligament injuries.

  • Post-Surgical Pain: To manage pain and inflammation following surgical procedures.

Dosage and Administration:

  • Dosage: The typical dosage is one tablet twice daily, preferably after meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.

  • Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.

  • Duration: The duration of therapy should be as prescribed by the healthcare provider, based on the individual’s condition and response to treatment.

Safety Information:

  • Precautions: Use with caution in individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, liver or kidney impairment, or cardiovascular conditions.
