Description
ITROMED-SB 65 contains itraconazole 65 mg formulated using SUBA (SUper-BioAvailable) technology. This special pharmaceutical technology enhances bioavailability by using a solid dispersion of itraconazole in a polymer matrix, resulting in superior absorption compared to conventional crystalline itraconazole capsules.
SUBA Technology Benefits
-
Enhanced bioavailability: The 65 mg SUBA formulation provides equivalent therapeutic effect to higher doses of conventional itraconazole.
-
Consistent absorption: Less dependent on stomach acid and food intake for absorption.
-
Reduced variability: More predictable plasma levels between patients and doses.
Uses
-
Superficial fungal infections: Ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch caused by Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton species.
-
Nail infections (onychomycosis): Persistent fungal infections of fingernails and toenails.
