Ivabid OD 15mg Tablet
Marketer: Abbott
Salt Composition: Ivabradine (15mg)
10.0 tablets in 1 strip
Description
Ivabid OD 15mg Tablet contains Ivabradine 15mg, a once-daily extended-release heart medicine used for managing chronic stable angina and chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). The OD (once daily) formulation provides a sustained therapeutic effect throughout the day with a single dose.
Ivabradine selectively inhibits the If (“funny”) channels in the sinoatrial node, which is the natural pacemaker of the heart. This action slows the heart rate without affecting the strength of heart contraction or blood pressure, improving oxygen supply to the heart and reducing symptoms of angina and heart failure.
The 15mg strength is typically prescribed for patients who require higher heart rate control after lower doses (5mg or 10mg) are not sufficient.
